The Preschool Team

We follow guidelines set by Ofsted with regard to staff ratios.
Kingfishers Preschool staff are all qualified and continue to develop their knowledge by attending regular courses throughout the year and all staff hold current paediatric first aid qualifications.

Kelly Hall - Preschool Leader

I have over 20 years experience working in Childcare and Education in a range of positions and settings. I have worked in nurseries, as a child-minder and as a post 16 lecturer in Childcare and Education at Milton Keynes College. I am also a mother to two children aged 11 and 9 who both attended Kingfishers Preschool and have continued on through The Three Schools.
I am a qualified Early Years SENCO as well as a Safeguarding lead for Kingfishers.
In 2019 I completed my Applied Early Years Degree and I hope to complete my PGCE in Early Years within the next few years. My role as Kingfishers SENCO is incredibly rewarding and I plan to continue my professional development within this area of expertise.
I love my role at Kingfishers Preschool and am incredibly passionate about the care and education of young children.  I am particularly passionate about encouraging a love of reading and imagination in children and really enjoy finding new ways to support this learning through the environment I create and the resources I provide at Kingfishers.

Kathryn Gibbard - Deputy Preschool Leader

I have 14 years of childcare experience and have been the Deputy Leader at Kingfishers for 9 years. I started my career as a volunteer in a breakfast and after school club and then moved on to pre-school and day nursery settings whilst completing my level 2 and 3 in Childcare Learning and Development.
I have a beautiful daughter who has taught me so much more than I ever imagined and we love spending time in the garden exploring!
I really enjoy being part of the children’s free play during the day at Kingfishers. I love setting up open ended and imaginative play opportunities for the children to discover and explore. I think this is a great opportunity to see children enhance and develop their skills in an unplanned and natural way. I also love messy play and giving children the chance to explore and experience different colours and textures.

Hayley Hewlett – Preschool assistant
I have over 12 years of childcare experience working in nurseries, preschools and also with primary aged children. I have a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. I started at the three schools in September and I love it here at Mursley.
I have two children of my own who are 11 and 6. My children have taught me so much about life and the importance of family time. I love to watch children grow, overcome obstacles and achieve things during their time at Preschool. I particularly enjoy supporting the children learn through their play, supporting them to bring their own ideas to life. I enjoy setting up messy play opportunities for the children, encouraging them to explore textures and colours in order to support their communication, language and social skills.

Nicola Boddy – Preschool assistant

I have over 20 years experience working in childcare, both in the UK and abroad. I have worked in various different settings and roles including nurseries, private nannying and a private school. I have also worked in different roles over the years including a position as Deputy Manager and Nursery Manager. I have a level 4 in childcare and have gained lots of experience and completed different childcare courses over the years.
I have two children of my own, a 5 year old and a 2 year old, who have taught me so much and we love spending time together. We particularly enjoy arts and crafts and spending time exploring outside together.
Within Kingfishers I really enjoy baking with the children, joining in with the children’s play, taking part in creative and exploratory activities and joining the children during their forest school sessions. I love seeing how much the children learn and develop new skills over their time at Kingfishers.
