Year 6 Take Part in Hazard Alley Knife Crime Workshop
On Wednesday 11th February, our Year 6 pupils took part in an engaging Knife Crime Intervention workshop delivered by the Hazard Alley Safety Centre, thanks to funding from the Heart of Bucks Community Foundation.
We were delighted to be offered this opportunity for a second year, as part of the programme available to schools in our area.
Pupils explored the serious impact of knife crime in an age-appropriate and thought-provoking way. The workshop focused on how everyday choices can shape futures—not just for individuals, but for their friends, families, and the wider community.
Through quizzes, discussions, and real-life scenarios, pupils learned about:
- The risks and legal consequences of carrying a knife
- How peer pressure can influence decisions
- The importance of making safe, informed choices
- Where to seek help and support
A really interesting and thought provoking session - and our Year 6's received wonderful feedback from Education Officer who ran the course. Well done Year 6!
