Our Year 5 pupils recently visited Knebworth House as part of their Victorian history topic. Guided by costumed 'servants', they learnt about life for both the rich and the poor through the story of Victor, a boy who grew up in the house.

There were some fantastic hands-on activities; like dressing in Victorian clothing, playing traditional toys and writing on slates. In the afternoon the children got the opportunity to explore the grounds, including the maze and walled garden and took part in some classic Victorian games.
