Election Fever hits Swanbourne
Wed 02 Oct 2024Once again, Year 6 pupils have had the opportunity to put themselves forward as a candidate for House Captain, Vice House Captain, Sports Captain and Vice Sports Captain. The aim is that the children taking these roles will be ambassadors for our school. They will work alongside the Junior Leadership Team (JLT) and staff to represent the school, on a day to day basis and at events we attend.
The children in Year 6 were all given the opportunity to stand for these roles and we had several willing candidates who put themselves forward, each presented a speech to the KS2 children as to why they would be the best person for the job. They all spoke with confidence and enthusiasm and presented a strong argument as to why they should be selected. Each of the KS2 children then had a vote for House Captain and Sports Captain and the staff all voted as well.
The votes were very close, and we were extremely proud of all the children who put themselves forward, they showed great courage and resilience. Well done Year 6. -

The Three Schools shine in the first weeks back!
Wed 02 Oct 2024The Three Schools celebrated the beginning of a new school year with Shine Day!
The children across Kingfishers and all Three Schools enjoyed focusing on our school values of Love, Honesty, Respect and Forgiveness.
Each class explored what one of these values means to them through a story and reflected on how they can show this value at school and in the wider community. Super art work was created as well as some excellent pieces of writing and drama.
The children looked brilliant in their bright, shiny clothes and had some great ideas about how they are going to ‘SHINE’ in the year ahead.
