Year 1’s Amazing Animal Adventure

Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Tring Natural History Museum where they had fun exploring the exhibits. There was lots of excitement and discussion as they walked around.

They also took part in an interactive classifying workshop session, where they thought carefully about grouping different animals from the collections into animal groups. A great day out had by all!
Year 3 make mammoths from milk bottles!

Last term Year 3 loved exploring their English text, The First Drawing. It inspired some wonderful descriptive writing, poetry, and diary entries, highlighting the children’s amazing creativity.

The book also linked beautifully with their art and history work, prompting pupils to consider who the very first artist might have been. Inspired by the story, the children created fantastic mammoth models, bringing their learning to life.
